While a typical playthrough of Capcom’s sci-fi shooter Pragmata can take around 12 hours, a speedrunner has completed the game in just under 78 minutes during Summer Games Done Quick. The annual charity event, which features players finishing games as quickly as possible, has showcased several impressive runs this year and raised over $500,000 for Doctors Without Borders.

Speedrunner Oh Snap completed a full Pragmata run while using several clever techniques to save time. The run included exploits such as falling through the map, manipulating level geometry, and bypassing crystal barriers before unlocking the required ability. However, most of the impressive time reduction came from precise gameplay skills and expert execution. Figure 1 show Pragmata Cleared in Under 80 Minutes.

Oh Snap’s speedrun stands out for his extremely fast hacking sequences combined with careful planning. Despite moving through puzzles at incredible speed, he strategically avoids collecting Hacking Nodes until they are needed and makes quick decisions throughout each maze. He also optimizes upgrade timing and uses menu resets to return to the hub faster instead of relying on slower in-game routes.

The boss fights showcase the speedrun’s most impressive moments. Oh, Snap defeats powerful enemies in seconds using precise strategies and optimized equipment. In the battle against The Creator in the Mass Production Array, the boss is defeated in about 50 seconds thanks to a combination of Stasis Net, double Decode mods, and an upgraded Charge Piercer, leaving the robot with almost no chance to fight back.

The speedrun is packed with impressive moments that highlight the depth of Pragmata's combat system. By optimizing hacking routes, rapidly switching weapons, and executing precise strategies, the run demonstrates the game's high skill ceiling and shows it is far more complex than a typical action shooter [1]. Beyond the gameplay, the event also features a stream of lighthearted dad jokes from donors, adding extra entertainment to the record-setting performance.
