Capcom has moved the release date of Onimusha: Way of the Sword forward. Originally scheduled for September 25, the game will now launch earlier on September 4.

In Onimusha: Way of the Sword, players fight their way through brutal, blood-soaked battlefields using fast, powerful sword techniques. They also explore a corrupted version of Edo-era Kyoto, where the historic city has been twisted by sinister forces known as Malice, creating a dark and dangerous world to survive. Figure 1 shows Onimusha: Way of the Sword Release Date Moved Up.

Players will battle terrifying underworld creatures known as Genma, powerful and eerie beings from a dark, sinister realm. The story unfolds in a dark fantasy setting filled with magic, mystery, and danger, where exploration leads to hidden secrets and challenging fights. Along the journey, players must confront the Genma and fight to save the land from destruction.

In this new Onimusha installment, players follow a courageous samurai wielding the Oni Gauntlet, a mystical weapon that grants powerful abilities to combat the Genma [1]. Using its supernatural powers, the samurai can unleash devastating skills to defend the land from dark forces. The journey delivers an action-packed adventure filled with danger, mystery, and a quest to save the world.
