While Damascus steel is usually used in larger blades, this may be one of the smallest examples available. According to Orioner, the Z6 is ideal for precision tasks like cutting leather, fabric, and paper, and it also handles everyday jobs like opening packages with ease.
Orioner is currently crowdfunding the Z6 on Kickstarter, offering it at a reduced price of $32 compared to its expected retail price of $59. The package includes a magnetic clasp that allows you to attach the knife to a belt loop, quickly detach it with a pull, and easily snap it back into place after use.
As with any crowdfunding campaign, there’s always some level of risk, so it’s worth considering that before backing. That said, Orioner has a track record of successfully launching and delivering several EDC products on Kickstarter, and it has shared detailed insights into the Z6’s development on its campaign page. The project has also attracted close to 400 backers so far.
If everything goes according to plan, orders are expected to ship worldwide in July 2026, with delivery costs to be calculated after the campaign concludes.
A Mini Blade with Serious Craftsmanship
This tiny everyday carry (EDC) tool stands out thanks to its 67-layer Damascus steel blade—something usually reserved for much larger knives. Despite its compact, keychain-friendly size, it offers impressive durability, long-lasting sharpness, and resistance to rust and chipping. It’s designed for precision tasks like cutting paper, fabric, or leather, making it far more capable than its size suggests.
Smart Design Meets Everyday Utility
Beyond the blade, this tool doubles as a bottle opener, adding practical value to your daily carry. It also comes with a magnetic clasp, letting you attach it to a belt loop or bag, detach it instantly when needed, and snap it back into place with ease. The design focuses on convenience, portability, and quick access without sacrificing functionality.
Crowdfunded Innovation with Some Risk
The tool is currently being offered through a Kickstarter campaign at a discounted price, though like all crowdfunding projects, it carries some risk. The creator, Orioner, has a history of delivering similar EDC products, which adds some credibility. With hundreds of backers already on board and shipping planned for mid-2026, it’s shaping up to be a promising addition for EDC enthusiasts—if everything goes as planned.
