During the Pixel drop, the emphasis was placed on the integration of Gemini AI with the Pixel 9 series. However, Google has now introduced a new feature that makes Gemini AI more accessible to users who don’t own a Pixel smartphone. This feature is the "Chat with Gemini" shortcut. Previously, users had to access Gemini AI through its dedicated app or website. Now, Google has made the Gemini AI experience directly available in the search bar. Curious to learn how it works? Read on to find out more.

How to Access Gemini AI Directly Through Google Search

You no longer need a separate app to access Gemini AI. Simply go to your search bar, type “@”, and select the “Chat with Gemini” option from the drop-down menu. Enter your query as usual, and you'll receive a quick response—it's incredibly convenient.

In addition to the Chrome integration, Google has introduced “Gemini Live” on the Google Pixel 9 series. [2] This feature allows users to engage in free-flowing, real-time interactions with Gemini, even when the phone is locked, making it even more convenient.

The Chat with Gemini feature is currently being rolled out. If you don’t have access yet, just wait a few days, and you should be able to use it soon.
