Article Processing Charges


Publishing options

Journal of Computing and Natural Science is a Transformative Journal (TJ). Once the article is accepted for publication, authors will have the option to choose how their article is published:

  • Traditional publishing model – Published articles are made available to institutions and individuals who subscribe to Journal of Computing and Natural Science or who pay to read specific articles.
  • Open Access – When an article is accepted for publication, the author/s or funder/s pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). The final version of the published article is then free to read for everyone.

Open access articles published in our journals are freely available online, immediately upon publication. The publication costs for Journal of Computing and Natural Science are covered by the AnaPub Publications (Kenya) untill 31 December 2023, so authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge for publications.


Open access articles published in our journals are freely available online, immediately upon publication. To provide open access, this journal has an open access fee (also known as an article publishing charge APC) which needs to be paid by the authors or on their behalf e.g. by their research funder or institution. The open access publication fee for this journal is usually USD 800, excluding taxes.


The publication costs for Journal of Computing and Natural Science are covered by the AnaPub Publications (Kenya) until 31 December 2023, so authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge for publications.


APC waivers and discounts

AnaPub Publications offers waivers and discounts for article processing charges (APCs) for papers whose corresponding authors are based in low-income countries.


AnaPub Publications APC waivers to papers whose corresponding authors are based in countries classified by the World Bank as low-income economies as of July 2021.


Papers whose corresponding authors are based in countries with lower-middle-income economies and with a 2020 gross domestic product (GDP) of less than 200 billion US dollars are eligible for a 50% discount (reference - World Bank 1st July 2021).
