The AnaPub Publications acknowledges the transformative potential of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in research and publishing. However, to preserve the integrity, originality, and ethical standards of scholarly communication, the use of such tools must be carefully governed. This policy outlines the acceptable use of AI by authors, reviewers, and editors associated with AnaPub Publications Journals.
Authors may use Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot) solely for language improvement, grammar correction, text refinement and formatting assistance. The role of AI should be limited to enhancing clarity and readability and not for content creation.
AI tools must not be used to:
Generative AI systems cannot be listed as authors and/or co-authors. All listed authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts, including sections refined with AI assistance.
Authors must disclose any use of AI tools in the Acknowledgment section. A recommended format is:
“The authors used [tool name, version, and provider] for language editing and proofreading. The authors reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript.”
Failure to disclose AI use and/or evidence of misuse may lead to manuscript rejection, retraction, and/or further investigation by the Editorial Board/Publisher.
All manuscripts using AI tools must adhere to AnaPub Publications ethics and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Misrepresentation and/or plagiarism through AI-generated content will be treated as a breach of publication ethics.
Reviewers and editors must not upload and/or share manuscript content (text, figures, data, or peer-review comments) to any public or third-party AI tools. All manuscripts and reviews are confidential and should be handled only through AnaPub Publications respective journal official editorial management.
AI tools may be used only to improve internal editorial communication and/or note-taking clarity, not to evaluate scientific quality, generate review content, or recommend editorial decisions.
All peer-review and editorial decisions must be made solely through human expertise and judgment. AI systems can support but not replace the editorial process.
If an editor or reviewer uses AI for minor editorial tasks (e.g., grammar or summary support), this should be disclosed internally to the Editor-in-Chief for record purposes.
Improper AI use by editorial members that compromises author confidentiality, review integrity, or journal reputation will be treated as a serious ethical violation, in accordance with COPE and AnaPub Publication Publisher policies.
This policy will be reviewed annually by the Editorial Board to ensure alignment with global best practices and emerging standards in academic publishing. The Publisher reserves the right to update and/or amend this policy as technologies evolve.
