Less than two months after launch, Battlefield 6 is offering a one-week free trial. From Nov. 25 to Dec. 2, a limited version of the game’s multiplayer mode will be available to all players on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.

The free trial includes three maps — Cairo, Eastwood, and Blackwell Fields, with the latter two added in Season 1 — and five game modes: Conquest, Breakthrough, Sabotage, Team Deathmatch, and one unannounced mode. Figure 1 shows PSA: Play Battlefield 6 for Free This Week.

To access the free trial, players must have Battlefield Redsec downloaded, suggesting that the trial will be delivered as an update to the stand-alone battle royale game.

The free trial coincides with the first week of California Resistance, Season 1’s second content update. It adds the Eastwood map and Sabotage mode, two new weapons (a shotgun and revolver), golf carts, and powerful battle pickups like a chargeable railgun and a rapid-fire minigun. The update also introduces the Rodeo Gauntlet mission in Redsec and the Portal Sandbox mode.

For more details on the free trial and the California Resistance update, check the official blog, and watch for another post with additional information when the trial launches on Tuesday.
