505 Games has launched a demo for MercurySteam’s upcoming action-adventure title, Blades of Fire. The demo covers the game’s opening, letting you craft your first weapons, experience the combat system, battle a giant troll, and dive into Aran’s story.

In Blades of Fire, your weapons are key to surviving and defeating Queen Nerea’s forces. Crafting the ideal weapon and mastering its use are crucial to succeeding in your mission to overthrow her. The recently released ‘Getting Started’ videos for Blades of Fire clearly outline the steps you’ll need to take to bring peace back to the land.

The forging system is central to Blades of Fire’s gameplay, giving players a unique opportunity to create powerful weapons essential for survival in a chaotic world. Players collect materials, combine elements, and upgrade Aran’s gear to strengthen their chances in the fight ahead. Figure 1 shows Blades of Fire Demo.

As mentioned, Blades of Fire features a unique and challenging combat system that lets you target specific enemy body parts. This allows players to slash, stab, or bludgeon foes based on the situation and the enemy’s equipment.

It’s refreshing to get a demo for a game these days. The only drawback is that both the demo and full game are exclusive to the Epic Games Store. That’s not an issue for me, but I know many of you prefer to avoid that platform.
