Author FAQ – Continuous Publication in Journal of Machine and Computing (JMC)

1. What does Continuous Publication mean?

Continuous Publication means that once your article is accepted, edited, and typeset, it will be published online immediately instead of waiting for all articles in the issue to be finalized.

2. How will my article be cited?

Your article will be published with its final citation details from the moment it goes online. This includes:

  • Volume number
  • Issue number
  • Page numbers
  • DOI (Digital Object Identifier)

This ensures your work is immediately citable and indexed.

3. What happens to quarterly issues?

JMC will still maintain quarterly consolidated issues (January, April, July, October).

  • Articles are published online continuously during the quarter.
  • At the end of the quarter, all published articles are grouped into the official consolidated issue for archiving and indexing.

4. What is the new publication frequency?

Frequency: Quarterly (Continuously Updated)

This means articles appear online continuously, while a compiled issue is released every quarter.

5. Will this affect indexing and archiving?

No. All articles published under CPM will be fully indexed, archived, and discoverable in databases just like traditional issues.

6. What are the benefits for authors?

  • Faster dissemination – your article is available immediately after production.
  • Earlier citations – since your work is visible right away.
  • No delay in indexing – citation details are final from day one.
  • Quarterly issue format retained – for institutional use and library reference.

7. Do I need to submit differently under CPM?

No. The submission process remains the same through JMC’s Ansis Manager online submission system. The only change is in when your article is published online.
