“AI Lacks True Intelligence,” Expert Cautions, Citing Global Threat to Human Dignity
At present, the world’s three major digital powers — the United States, China, and the European Union — are pursuing distinctly different models of AI governance: market-driven, state-controlled, and human-centered, respectively.

According to Dr. Randazzo, the EU’s human-centric framework offers the most promising path for safeguarding human dignity. However, she cautioned that without a unified global commitment to this principle, even this approach remains limited. Figure 1 shows Expert Warns: AI’s Lack of True Intelligence Poses a Global Threat to Human Dignity.
“If we fail to root AI development in the very qualities that define us — our ability to choose, to feel, to reason with care, and to act with empathy and compassion — we risk building systems that reduce humanity to mere data points instead of enhancing the human experience,” she warned.
“It has no understanding of its actions or their purpose; there is no genuine thought process as humans experience it — only pattern recognition devoid of embodiment, memory, empathy, or wisdom.”
