Collectors Rush for Lego’s Legend of Zelda Set Before It’s Gone

Fans of The Legend of Zelda may want to act quickly, as Lego’s highly sought-after Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set is nearing retirement and becoming increasingly difficult to find. The 2,500-piece collector’s set, released in 2024, pays tribute to two of the franchise’s most celebrated adventures and appears to be disappearing from shelves faster than expected.

Designed as a dual-build experience, the set allows fans to recreate the Great Deku Tree from either The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It also includes minifigures of Link in multiple forms, alongside Princess Zelda, making it one of the most ambitious Zelda-themed Lego releases to date.

Demand has surged as the set approaches retirement. Official channels, including Lego and Nintendo’s online stores, have largely sold out, leaving only limited stock at select retail locations. While some major retailers may still have units available, availability is becoming increasingly scarce as collectors and longtime Zelda fans race to secure one before production ends. Interest in Zelda merchandise is expected to grow even further in the coming years. Anticipation surrounding the recently announced remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, combined with plans for a live-action Zelda film, has renewed excitement around the franchise and its collectibles.

For fans who miss out on the Great Deku Tree set, there is still another option. Lego’s recently released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle Set recreates the legendary showdown between Link, Zelda, and Ganon in a more compact 1,003-piece build. However, it lacks the scale and iconic centerpiece appeal that made the Great Deku Tree set such a standout release.

With production reportedly winding down and stock rapidly disappearing, the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set is quickly becoming one of the most coveted Zelda collectibles on the market. For collectors hoping to add Nintendo’s legendary guardian tree to their display, the window of opportunity may be closing fast.
