The free Verso’s Drafts DLC for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, previously teased by developer Sandfall Interactive, is now available as a free update on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. The announcement came from director Guillaume Broche during his Game of the Year acceptance speech at The Game Awards 2025, following the game’s sweep of eight additional awards, with Broche calling it the “Thank You Update.”

“Rejoin the Expedition on another journey through the whimsical hideout of a young Verso,” reads Sandfall’s official description. “In a land crafted through joy and innocence, sometimes darkness is uncovered when imagination gets carried away.” Figure 1 shows Clair Obscur Unveils Free Verso’s Drafts DLC for Expedition 33.

The Verso’s Drafts DLC introduces new quests, locations, and plenty of fresh content. True to its name, the expansion is set within a series of draft worlds created by a young Verso—far brighter and less grim than the Continent in the base game. Players can expect a colorful playground where enemies attack with rainbows, forests are made of lollipops, and the sky—well, mostly normal—is a welcome change of pace.

Alongside the whimsical environments, Verso’s Drafts adds new enemies and challenging bosses. It also features an expanded photo mode that works even during combat, complete with aperture controls, filters, and all the tools players need to capture not just victories, but stylish victories.
