Google just finished up its I/O keynote, where it announced some pretty major updates to its Pixel lineup and showed off its latest advances in AI. [5]

Google Maps: It unveiled a new “Immersive View for Routes” feature in select cities. The new feature brings all of the information that a user may need into one place, including details about traffic simulations, bike lanes, complex intersections, parking and more. [1]

Magic Editor and Magic Compose: Google’s Magic Editor feature is AI-powered for more complex edits in specific parts of the photos — for example, the foreground or background — and can fill in gaps in the photo or even reposition the subject for a better-framed shot. [1]

PaLM 2: It is Google’s next generation language model with improved multilingual, reasoning and coding capabilities.

MusicLM: It is Google’s new experimental AI tool that turns text into music. [1]

Pixel 7a: It includes all of the AI-powered Pixel Call Assist features that make Pixel the best phone for phone calls. It also has all the Pixel Speech features powered by Tensor G2, like Live Translate, Recorder Speaker Labels, Assistant Voice Typing, and Voice Messaging Transcription on the Messages app. [2]

Project Tailwind: Project Tailwind is an AI-powered notebook tool it is building with the aim of taking a user’s free-form notes and automatically organizing and summarizing them. The tool is available through Labs, Google’s refreshed hub for experimental products. [1]

Universal Translator: Google is trying a strong new interpretation administration that redubs video in another dialect while likewise synchronizing the speaker's lips with words they won't ever express.
