IBM wants to give SAP clients a better user experience, faster decision-making, and deeper insights to help them alter their business processes

IBM Watson technology will be embedded within SAP solutions to enable new AI-driven insights and automation to assist accelerate innovation and create more efficient and effective user experiences across the SAP application portfolio, according to an announcement made by SAP and IBM.[1]

SAP announced that it will employ IBM Watson's capabilities to power its digital assistant in SAP Start, a unified entry point for SAP cloud offerings. New AI capabilities in SAP Start will be geared to assist customers enhance productivity by providing natural language skills as well as predictive insights with IBM Watson AI solutions built on IBM's trust and transparency and data protection principles.[1]

Users can utilise SAP Start to search for, launch, and interact with apps available in SAP cloud solutions and SAP S/4HANA® Cloud. New AI capabilities in SAP Start will be geared to assist customers enhance productivity by utilising natural language skills as well as predictive insights provided by IBM Watson AI solutions built on IBM's trust and transparency and data protection standards.[2]

SAP Start's new digital assistant capabilities will be extended across SAP systems to help managers and employees answer a variety of issues. With the capacity to leverage AI and machine learning to extract information from a range of data sources and answer user questions across lines of business, SAP Start will provide clients with intelligence at the point of decision-making.[3]
