Final Fantasy VII Rebirth fans won't have to wait much longer to experience Square Enix's major remake on PC.

On the night it received multiple nominations at The Game Awards 2024, including Game of the Year, Square Enix revealed that the PS5 exclusive, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, will be coming to PC [1]. The game is set to release on January 23, 2025, just ahead of the original release's one-year anniversary.

As anticipated, the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will feature several enhancements over the console release, including improved textures and more. It also paves the way for mods and additional improvements. The PC version will join Final Fantasy VII Remake and its Intergrade expansion in Square Enix's lineup. Figure 1 shows Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

The sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth, continues the story of the original PS1 game, introducing several twists along the way. In our review, we noted, "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth impressively builds off of what Remake set in motion, serving as both a top-tier action-RPG filled with thrilling challenges and depth, and as an awe-inspiring recreation of a world that has resonated with so many for so long."
