Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated titles in the franchise, blending the series’ iconic yakuza action with a pirate twist. Set for release in February 2025, this game follows Goro Majima, who finds himself stranded on Hawaii's Rich Island with no memory of his past. Majima’s wild journey introduces him to a world of crime, pirates, and treasure, as he navigates the islands in search of clues about his forgotten identity.

The game introduces new mechanics like naval battles, ship customization, and two unique fighting styles—Mad Dog, where Majima channels his aggressive, chaotic self, and Sea Dog, optimized for battles at sea. Players will command Majima’s pirate ship, the Goromaru, as they explore an archipelago full of danger and mystery. Along the way, they’ll battle pirate gangs, unearth hidden treasures, and confront some very colorful characters. The blend of the yakuza criminal underworld with pirate themes gives the game a fresh feel, all while keeping the over-the-top combat and emotional storytelling fans have come to expect. Beyond the main narrative, side quests, mini-games, and Hawaiian pirate folklore bring plenty of depth. Players will visit key islands like Madlantis, a chaotic pirate haven, and make choices that shape Majima’s redemption arc. Pre-order bonuses are available, including special outfits and the ability to recruit familiar faces, like Ichiban Kasuga, as part of your pirate crew.

In Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, SEGA is combining two exciting worlds: the tradition and intensity of the yakuza with the untamed freedom of pirates, promising an unforgettable journey. If you’re ready to command your pirate ship, fight to survive, and reclaim your lost past, set your sails for February 2025!
