Funko Fusion, the trigger-happy adventure game from 10:10 Games set for release in September 13, has announced the addition of Capcom icon Mega Man. [1] This reveal coincides with the launch of Funko Fusion's PC demo, which features the first level set in a world inspired by John Carpenter’s 1982 horror film The Thing. Figure 1 shows Funko Fusion - Mega Man.

Announced in 2022, Funko Fusion promises a crossover extravaganza featuring numerous pop culture IPs, including Five Nights at Freddy’s, Masters of the Universe, and The Walking Dead. Recently, the game expanded its roster with characters from Invincible, adding Omni-Man and Mark Grayson, who showcase their Viltrumite powers in battle.

Mega Man Joins the Playable Characters Roster in Funko Fusion

After the demo's release, 10:10 Games shared on Funko Fusion’s Steam page, “We’ve been working on this game for three years, and this is the first opportunity for the public to experience it beyond recent timed convention demos!” The post also revealed that players can transform into Freddy Fazbear and He-Man, as well as Mega Man, by using hidden Pop boxes in the demo. Additionally, the developers recently detailed the IP selection process for Funko Fusion, explaining how they chose which franchises to feature in the game.

Mega Man, a popular Japanese franchise with over 100 video game titles from Capcom, has not seen a new mainline entry since 2018. However, Capcom addressed the future of Mega Man during its 45th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders. The franchise has sold approximately 41 million copies to date, underscoring the enduring popularity of the action-platformer series that has spanned more than 30 years.

Funko has cultivated a dedicated community of collectors who eagerly invest in their popular vinyl figures, covering nearly every pop culture niche. [2] The forthcoming third-person action game will honor various fandoms with over 60 unique playable characters, each equipped with their own weapons and special moves. Players will experience vibrant gameplay through puzzle-solving, exploration, and intense combat, all while facing the main antagonist, Eddy Funko, an evil counterpart to Freddy Funko.
