The Farm 51 has just announced the sequel to Chernobylite, titled Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone. This new installment aims to combine open-world combat, crafting, team and base management, and nonlinear storytelling into a compelling and realistic post-apocalyptic action-RPG.

Scheduled for release on PC in 2025, the game’s announcement trailer is available below.

That’s all the information for now. The Farm 51 has not yet released an official press release for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, and the game's Steam store page is not live at this time. Figure 1 shows Chernobylite 2.

It’s possible that IGN has an exclusive 24-hour deal. We should expect a press release with more details tomorrow. I'll make sure to update the story once we have more information.

This post-apocalyptic action RPG features expansive, highly realistic open-world exploration, challenging combat, unique crafting, team and base management, and nonlinear storytelling. Players take on the role of a planewalker who journeys through parallel worlds in search of the valuable, high-energy material known as Chernobylite. Trapped in the Zone and besieged by hordes of nightmarish creatures, you must fight for survival and rally the few remaining survivors.

Players will explore a vast and realistic open world set in the real Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The presence of Chernobylite has transformed much of the zone, and people are using prototype technology to defend themselves against its effects.

The game will feature hero creation and development, with attributes and skills influencing both combat effectiveness and dialogue interactions.

In Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, players will battle for survival using an advanced melee combat system or a wide range of firearms. The game will also support a stealth approach and the option to seek assistance from others. Team building is a key feature, allowing players to develop and manage their base, where they can craft valuable items and upgrade their weapons daily. You can assign tasks to your team members, who will handle equipment and supply management.
