Microids has unveiled the preliminary PC system requirements for its Unreal Engine 5-powered strategy game, Empire of the Ants. The game will utilize both Nanite and Lumen technologies, featuring ants with detailed models consisting of over 50,000 triangles.

To run the game, PC gamers will need at least an Intel Core i5 9400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB of RAM, and an AMD Radeon RX 580 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. Additionally, 30GB of free disk space is required. Figure 1 shows Empire of The Ants.

Tower Five recommends using an Intel Core i5 9600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, along with 16GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon RX 6800 or Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 for optimal performance.

Unfortunately, the developers did not specify the resolution, graphics settings, or framerate that these PC requirements target. [1] Additionally, it is unclear whether the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 or AMD FSR 3.0 at launch.

Empire of the Ants promises a photorealistic forest where players can interact with other ants and forest dwellers. [2] The game will feature dynamic day and night environments, with different times of day including dawn, day, twilight, and night.

Microids will release Empire of the Ants on November 7th. We’ll keep you updated if the publisher changes the game’s PC requirements before the release. In the meantime, you can review these preliminary PC specs.
