"Quidditch Champions," the Harry Potter game cantered on the magical sport, will launch on September 3, 2024, as announced during Summer Game Fest today.

The game will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Interestingly, it will be accessible through PlayStation Plus at launch, though there's no information about its availability on Game Pass. "Quidditch Champions" is priced at $30 USD. PlayStation Plus subscribers can get the game as part of their membership from September 3-30.[1]

A trailer for "Quidditch Champions" showcased iconic Harry Potter characters such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and more. The game includes various stages, from the Weasley Burrow to the Quidditch World Cup venue. Additionally, Warner Bros. announced that owners of "Hogwarts Legacy" will receive the Bonus Legacy Pack, which includes a variety of bonuses.[2]

"Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gives fans a chance to delve further into the Harry Potter world with the thrill of playing this beloved, fantastical sport," said Warner Bros. gaming boss David Haddad. "The team has worked to capture the spirit of Quidditch, including iconic characters and never-before-seen areas of the wizarding world."

Announced in April 2023, "Quidditch Champions" has already undergone playtests. It is described as a "fast-paced, online multiplayer game" featuring both solo and multiplayer gameplay.

This marks the second Harry Potter game in two years, following the massively successful "Hogwarts Legacy" in 2023. "Hogwarts Legacy" was the best-selling game of 2023 in the US, even outselling "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III."
