Monster Hunter Wilds has become a massive hit, but it's also facing some challenges. The game saw an impressive peak of nearly 1.4 million concurrent players on Steam during its launch day, significantly surpassing Monster Hunter: World's peak of 334,684. Additionally, it sold a staggering eight million copies within just three days, making it the fastest game in Capcom's history to reach that milestone.

However, despite its success, the game has received a mixed response on Steam, with only 60% of user reviews being positive. While it's not entirely uncommon (as seen with Stalker 2, which faced bugs, crashes, and AI glitches), it's still surprising given the game's popularity. Figure 1 shows monster hunter wilds.

Capcom has acknowledged the issues and assured players that they are actively working on improving Wilds. The company mentioned that they have already rolled out several patches to address critical problems like progression blockers, game stability, and gameplay bugs. A new update is also scheduled to arrive early next week to further enhance the gaming experience.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive a significant update (version 1.000.05.00) on March 10, aiming to resolve several major issues reported by players. Capcom acknowledged that while they have already deployed quick fixes to address critical bugs like progression blockers and game stability, the upcoming update will tackle gameplay bugs, network errors, and crash issues.

The update will specifically fix issues such as incorrect monster parts being dropped, decorations being removed from equipment, game crashes under certain conditions, and Gravios not gaining resistance to flinches after part breaks. Additionally, problems like fish not fleeing when caught with a capture net and unresponsive controls caused by Palico’s support move will also be addressed.

However, some known issues like network errors when firing SOS flares, Palico’s blunt weapons not causing stun/exhaust damage, and Hunter Profile editing issues won't be fixed in this update.

Capcom assured players they are closely monitoring feedback and are working on more long-term updates [2]. They also confirmed that new Event Quests are on the way and the first major title update is scheduled for early April. Players can track ongoing and upcoming events on monsterhunter.com.
