Xiaomi has launched the Smart Cat Eye 1S, a dual functionality gadget acting as a video doorbell and door viewing device. The gadget has several intelligent features, including AI human detection and facial recognition, plus a voice changing tool when you answer the intercom.

Figure 1 shows that Xiaomi has announced the Smart Cat Eye 1S combined video doorbell and door viewer.

The device comes in two parts, the combined doorbell and door viewer, which you fit into your door and a separate linked tablet you can mount on the wall in your house; the display has a 5-in (~13 cm) IPS screen. [1]

Just launched in China, the new Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 1S becomes the most advanced smart peephole of the Xiaomi becoming in turn the ideal accessory for any entrance door thanks to its characteristics.

In detail, the new Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 1S has a FHD resolution camera that is, 1080p that allows us to see in high resolution everything that happens in front of the door of our home.

For viewing the Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 1S has a 5-inch internal IPS LCD panel. From this we can see live the image displayed by the smart peephole camera, which also has a viewing angle of 160 degrees and an aperture of f / 2.0. [2]

In addition to this, the Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 1S has a large battery of 8,000mAh that we will not have to recharge until after a few months and a small button that functions as an internal bell.

Of course, being a product with Wi-Fi technology we can see what happens in the portal from our smartphone, as well as make two-way calls with anyone who touches the tremor of this smart peephole.

Its price is about €90.5 to change, although for now it will only go on sale in China, being able to buy it through platforms such as AliExpress. [3]

The smart doorbell will alert you if it detects suspicious activity outside your home. The Xiaomi Smart Cat Eye 1S doorbell button will also light up when a person is detected, reminding the visitor to push it.

The smart gadget has a voice changing tool for the intercom, which Xiaomi says is a safety feature. You can initiate video calls and answer the door remotely, and you can use the camera to check the weather before you leave the house. [1]
