Relativity Networks, a leading provider of next-generation fiber-optic technology, announced an oversubscribed $6.1M seed funding round featuring Prysmian, GOVO Venture Partners, and returning investors from its pre-seed round. This latest investment raises the company’s total funding to $10.7M, underscoring its capability to produce and scale hollow-core fiber (HCF) cables that are in growing demand by operators of energy-intensive data centers powering the AI economy. Figure 1 shows Relativity Networks Raises $6M Seed Round.

Relativity Networks’ latest seed round follows a period of rapid growth, having emerged from stealth in February with a $4.6M pre-seed round. In March, the company secured a long-term partnership with Prysmian to scale its next-gen fiber-optic cable, and has already begun delivering hollow-core fiber (HCF) to hyperscalers eager to adopt the technology widely.

The high electric power requirements for AI-ready data processing have become a bottleneck in building new data centers [1]. Relativity Networks’ patent-pending hollow-core fiber (HCF) technology addresses this challenge by allowing cloud hyperscalers to place data centers closer to power sources—whether traditional utilities or renewable energy providers—facilitating more efficient operations.
