Sixth Sense technology uses a wearable gesture interface to augment the physical world. It allows us to make use of hand gestures for a particular set of tasks. The wearable devices used act as a gestural interface and integrates the real world with digital information.Sixth Sense technology has the potential to bring about a digital revolution across the globe. The fact that it can be utilised in multiple ways, like performing basic actions, locating points on a map and calling someone directly without picking up the phone, asserts its importance. [1]

Figure 1 shows for this piece of tech to work. You need a camera, a projector, a mobile phone for internet connectivity and a microphone. The main model for this to work consists of a projector to project images. And other digital stuff on either a piece of paper, your palms. Well basically in the physical world making us easier to interact with it.

Secondly, it contains a camera. Which reads our gestures to understand what are we trying to do and then processing that work digitally. A mic so we can speak to it about what work we want to open and do. You can say this feature is kind of similar to what we see in Siri or amazons Alexa, Cortana. But it didn’t yet have a proper AI system like the ones mentioned. [2]

Application

1. Fingers as brush: The user can draw anything on paint with the help of his fingers. This drawing can be 3D also. Hence, no need to use a mouse.
2. Capture photos with fingers: using the fingers the user can capture photos hence, no need to carry an additional gizmo. The box created by the fingers act as frame for capturing photo.
3. Palm is the new dialer: This technology enables the user to callwithout using the dialer. The dialer will be projected on palm and the user can dial the number using other hand.
4. Read Books easily: Check out the ratings of the Book you are going to buy, it checks the ratings from the internet. And another amazing thing is that it reads the book for you.
5. Video Newspapers: like the video newspapers of Harry Potter this technology identifies the news headline and then projects the relevant video.
6. Check your Flight Status: Just place the ticket in front of the projector and it checks its status from the internet. [3]
