Vivo X80 series is set to launch in India today at 12pm IST. This lineup that includes the vanilla Vivo X80 and the Vivo X80 Pro has already been launched in China and Malaysia. These smartphones are confirmed to feature an imaging system that has been co-engineered with Zeiss. There is also the V1+ Chip for AI video enhancement and improved low-light recordings. Depending on the region, the Vivo X80 Pro packs either the Dimensity 9000 SoC or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The company has confirmed that the Vivo X80 Pro will arrive in India with the latter chipset. [1]

Expected prices

The Vivo X80 version should come at under Rs. 45,000 while the X80 Pro will likely be priced between Rs. 60,000 and Rs 65,000. These estimates are based on the global prices for the two handsets. [4]

Vivo X80 specifications

The vanilla Vivo X80 sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ E5 AMOLED display with 2400×1800 pixels resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, a 1,000nits brightness and MEMC. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor paired with Mali-G710 10-core GPU. It packs 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone boots Android 12 OS with Funtouch 12 custom skin out of the box.

Vivo X80 houses a triple camera setup on the back, including a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary sensor with OIS support, f/1.75 aperture, LED flash, a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP 50mm telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom support. It has a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls on the front.

The phone packs a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Connectivity features include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS+GLONASS, and USB Type-C. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. It measures 164.95×75.23×8.30mm and weighs 206 grams. [3]
