Faraday Future has faced years of financial struggles, failed partnerships, and limited vehicle production. Despite once achieving a multibillion-dollar valuation, the company has delivered only a small number of electric vehicles over the past 12 years.

Faraday Future is expanding into robotics with a new lineup of six AI-powered machines built on a shared platform. The range includes quadruped robots, industrial robotic arms, and a flagship humanoid robot expected to cost around US$90,000.

Faraday Future describes the Futurist humanoid as an all-purpose professional robot designed for research applications. The updated 5-foot-8-inch model features Nvidia-powered full-body motion control and a dual-battery system that provides up to six hours of operation. Faraday Future says the Futurist humanoid is designed for a wide range of roles, including greeting and guiding visitors, warehouse work, household assistance, and in-home healthcare support.

At US$90,000, the Futurist sits at the premium end of the humanoid robot market. Its price is well above the targets announced for several competing consumer-focused robots, placing it among higher-end systems designed for advanced capabilities.

Faraday Future also introduced a US$2,000 robot dog for students and hobbyists interested in learning physical AI. A more advanced US$4,500 quadruped is designed for industrial inspections, firefighting support, and hotel delivery services.

Faraday Future also unveiled three wheeled robotic arms designed for factories, hospitals, hotels, and warehouses. Featuring humanoid-style upper bodies and an industrial AI platform, the robots are said to be deployment-ready, though pricing has not been announced [1].

Faraday Future's expansion into robotics marks an ambitious step after years of financial and legal challenges. While the company continues developing electric vehicles, it aims to deliver a few hundred robots in the first half of the year, though it faces intense competition in the growing humanoid robotics market.
