Specification:

Available in slim design, in 32-inches with UHD resolution, a slim fit camera and four new color options, the monitor decidedly gives off iMac vibes, especially when it comes to sleekness.

The thickness of the new model is just 11.4mm, about three-quarters slimmer than the previous models.[1]

Display:

The M8 is the latest Samsung release geared for the desktop with built-in capabilities that allow it to stand out from your average display. [2]

The 32-inch display supports up to 4K or 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, giving it a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also comes with a High Dynamic Range or HDR10+.

Meanwhile, its brightness goes up to 400 units with a minimum of 300 nits. For its refresh rate, it only rocks a maximum of 60Hz.[3]

Most notable of these is the onboard chip that enables the display to run Netflix and other streaming services on top of Google Docs and video calling tools like Google Duo. Airplay 2 is another highlight here to double back on that Apple focus.[2]

Design and color:

Then there’s the design. One look at the new M8 Smart Monitor and there’s no hiding just what Samsung drew inspiration this time around.

Samsung’s latest comes with the same colorful white option which is now joined by green, pink, and blue offerings.

The new for Samsung M8 Smart Monitor is the companion webcam module. Deemed the Slim Fit Camera, this accessory is included in the box and clicks into the back when it’s time to dive into video calls.

The unique design lends itself quite well to privacy-conscious folks but also stands out as quite the neat modular add-on.[2]
