Native Unveils its Cloud Security Platform Backed by $42 Million

Cloud security startup Native has officially emerged from stealth mode after securing $42 million in funding, including a $31 million Series A led by Ballistic Ventures. The investment also attracted support from General Catalyst, YL Ventures, and Merlin Ventures, while former Google Cloud CISO Phil Venables joined the company's board of directors.

Solving a Growing Multi-Cloud Challenge

As more organizations adopt multiple cloud platforms, managing security consistently across different providers has become increasingly difficult. Although Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure each offer built-in security features, applying the same security policies across all of them remains a major challenge.

Native aims to solve this problem with a platform that converts a company's security policies into cloud-specific configurations, allowing them to be automatically enforced using each provider's native security controls rather than relying on additional monitoring tools.

Smarter Policy Enforcement

The platform provides a centralized way for security teams to define policy once and apply it consistently across multiple cloud environments. Before implementing any changes, Native simulates their potential impact, supports staged deployments, and includes approval workflows to reduce the risk of disrupting production systems.

By using the security capabilities already built into cloud platforms, the company hopes to simplify cloud security while helping organizations maintain consistent protection as their infrastructure grows.

Built by Cloud Security Experts

Founded in 2024, Native was created by three experienced cloud security leaders: CEO Amit Megiddo, former head of Amazon GuardDuty at AWS; Chief Product Officer Gal Ordo, who previously worked on AWS Security Hub; and CTO Eyal Faingold, former Vice President of Cloud Security at Check Point.

The startup currently has 41 employees across the United States and Israel and plans to expand its workforce to approximately 90 by the end of 2026.

Supporting Secure Cloud Growth

According to CEO Amit Megiddo, enterprises often struggle to take full advantage of the powerful security controls already available from cloud providers. Native's goal is to simplify policy management by allowing security teams to define their security requirements once and have them enforced consistently across every cloud environment.

With fresh funding and strong industry backing, Native aims to help organizations strengthen cloud security while enabling faster and more secure adoption of multi-cloud infrastructure.
