TVS Motor Company on Friday has announced the launch of its motorcycle TVS Apache RR 310 with Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi and feature-rich connected scooter TVS NTORQ 125 for the aspirational young customers in the Philippines.

TVS Apache RR 310 is meant to make a statement amongst motorcycle enthusiasts in the Philippines market. It uses a 312cc SI, four-stroke, four-valve, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing 34 bhp power and 27 Nm of torque. TVS NTORQ 125 is a sporty and aerodynamic 125cc automatic scooter, offering a robust and enhanced riding experience. TVS NTORQ 125 is the only scooter equipped with an RT-Fi platform. [1]

Figure 1 shows while the pricing details of these two-wheelers for the Philippines market are currently unavailable, we do know that they are made in India. Moreover, they are completely identical to the India-spec model. So, the TVS NTorq 125 is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with RT-Fi (Race Tuned Fuel-injection) technology that churns out 9.2 hp of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a CVT. [2]

Connected smartphone tech with Bluetooth and the Race Computer keeps the rider posted on-call function, turn-by-turn navigation, and post-ride analysis. Throttle-by-Wire, dual-channel ABS, advanced aero, race-trellis frame, race suspension along with the standard Michelin Road 5 tyres, make the TVS Apache RR 310 a formidable machine. It is retailed at a price of Rs 2.6 lakh in India (ex-showroom).

Amongst scooters, the TVS NTorq 125 has many features that have made it a very strong competitor here in India and have been critically acclaimed. Featuring a race-inspired design language, the scooter even features sharp LED daytime running lights at the front; the rear has vents that have been inspired by Fighter-Jets. Telescoping suspension, disc brakes, and comfortable seats are some of the additional features. [3]

The company's consolidated net profit jumped 29.2% to Rs 234.37 crore on 23.4% surge in net sales to Rs 6,483.42 crore in Q2 FY22 over Q2 FY21.

Shares of TVS Motor were trading 0.06% higher at Rs 684.80 on BSE. [4]
