Apple 'Peek Performance' Event Set for Today: How to Watch Livestream, What to Expect
Apple's 'Peek Performance' event is scheduled to be held later today. The Cupertino-based outfit will likely debut the 5G-enabled iPhone SE 3, a new iPad Air, a couple of new MacBook laptops, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and probably a 7K Apple Studio display. Apple is likely to unveil its M2 Silicone chip as well, which will reportedly power new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. Furthermore, the iPhone 13 series may get a Green colourway, while iPad Air may get a Purple colour option at Apple's Peek Performance event. [1]

Figure 1 shows Apple’s ‘Peek Performance’ event will likely witness the launch of the 5G enabled iPhone SE third-generation smartphone, some new MacBook laptops, Mac Mini, Mac Studio, new iPad Air and possibly a 7K Apple studio display.
The upcoming event will be broadcasted live from Apple Park in Cupertino, California. It will be live-streamed from Apple’s website, its YouTube Channel and on Apple TV. [2]
iPad Air 5G
Like the iPhone SE, the iPad Air is expected to get a new chip (A15 Bionic) for improved performance and 5G network support. It may, however, look similar to the on-going model -- flat edges, thin bezels, USB-C, and TouchID.
The new iPad Air would support Apple Pencil 2, which features a flat edge that attaches magnetically for automatic charging and pairing. [3] On the software side, the iPad Air is expected to get ultra-wide-angle camera on the front for Apple’s Centre Stage feature.
Further, the iPhone SE is said to come in three colours, including white, black and red. However, as mentioned earlier, the iPhone SE 2022 may come with a similar form factor as the previous iPhone that was launched in 2020. This may be disappointing for some people as the design of the iPhone SE launched in 2020 itself belongs to the iPhone 8. However, it would ease the manufacturing process for Apple. Kuo also says that the iPhone SE 2022 will enter into mass production in the month of March itself and [4] the company is expecting shipments of about 25 to 30 million units in the year 2022.
