2022 BMW M4 Competition launched in India at Rs 1.43 crore

The new BMW M4 Competition xDrive is based on the design language of the BMW 4 Series.

BMW India has launched its latest M model in the country, the all-new BMW M4 Competition xDrive, at a price of ₹ 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India), making it the 10th high-performance M product in the company's India line-up. The new BMW M4 Competition xDrive, available in its petrol guise, was recently driven by Siddharth in the US, and while he couldn't control the grin on his face, he wasn't too happy about parting ways with the car either. The new BMW M4 Competition xDrive is based on the design language of the BMW 4 Series, with M-specific changes to differentiate between the two, however, it remains proportionate to its standard sibling. Figure 1 shows not only exterior, but the automaker is also offering a host of upholstery options for BMW M4 Competition's cabin. These include M leather ‘Merino’ with extended contents in the combination of Yas Marina Blue, Kyatami Orange, Silverstone, Black.

The car gets a sharp design with adaptive LED headlights and BMW Laserlight as standard. The front kidney grille with horizontal slats is in line with the contemporary BMW models. The car also gets chunky wheel arches, prominently extended side sills. The front and rear aprons too add boldness to the car. It gets M-specific wing mirrors that are aerodynamically optimized and come in high-gloss black paint.[2]

Extremely lightweight high-tech Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) sunroof is a feature of the new car. The car has got Automatic 3 zone air conditioning. It is equipped with Adaptive M-Specific Suspension, M Sport Differential, M high performance compound brakes and 19"/20" M forged wheels Double-spoke style 826 M Bicolour Black in the standard profile. As part of the safety features, the new BMW M4 Competition Coupe includes features like driving assistant, Comfort Access System, Gesture control, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, as well as the BMW Drive Recorder. The car also gets head and side airbags for the driver and front passenger and head airbags for rear seats as standard.

Additionally, equipment like Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), M Dynamic Mode (MDM), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dry Braking function and Active M Differential are available as standard. [4]
