According to some of the Nexa dealers we spoke to, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift will be launched in the second half of February. Unofficial bookings for the car have also commenced for a token of Rs. 11,000.

Maruti Suzuki is currently gearing up to introduce a comprehensive facelift of the Baleno premium hatchback, and the company has already commenced its production. An image of the first 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno being rolled out from the assembly line at Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) plant has surfaced online, and according to the photo, production had begun on January 24, 2022. According to some of the Nexa dealers we spoke to, the car will be launched in the second half of February. Unofficial bookings for the car have also commenced for a token of ₹ 11,000. [1]

Figure 1 shows maruti Suzuki holds one of the biggest customer bases in the Indian car market and they plan on increasing the base with the production of more new cars. The new cars include a brand new version of Brezza, a mid-size SUV based on Toyota's DNGA platform, a brand new Alto based on the Heartect platform.

In addition, they also have lined up new 7-seater cars. The new models will be the successors of their most loved cars Ertiga and the not so popular XL6. However, they have no plans on stopping there, they also have plans of bringing in a few more CNG vehicles for the new customer base. [2]

The new Baleno now looks much more premium and sporty than before, while the interiors have also received several updates. It gets a 9.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with the new operating system, which has been developed in collaboration with Toyota. Suzuki Connect telematics system will also be available as standard in the top spec variant of the Baleno.

Other updates on the car include a new multi information display unit, flat bottom steering wheel, changes in the dashboard design and air conditioning vents at the bottom as well as a unit of automatic climate control. The company will also offer a wireless phone charger with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the car. Maruti Suzuki will pay extra attention to the safety of the 2022 Baleno. Its body is made of thick and strong grade steel. With these updates, it is also possible that the company is looking to get a 5-star NCAP safety rating with the new Baleno. [3]
